I wish we had access to these rainfall gauges, would be interesting to
monitor them from the during these wet conditions.

Local chap from the Environment Agency reported on radio Cumbria this
morning that 180mm of rain had fallen at Honister Pass in the central lakes
area of Cumbria, must be one of the wettest gauges...

Only 3 mm overnight added to the 1mm from yesterdays showers has given 4mm
of rain, despite impressive radar pictures, looks the fells have sucked all
the rain away again.

Fully expecting a full can this morning, but only 2.1mm. Looks like it all
fizzled out despite the weather warnings etc.

Only 6.7mm here in NE Cumbria, was expecting 20-30mm at least. Today has
