An Example of Fossil Fool Science

Maybe we should just ask everyone posting to this list whether or not
they believe the earth to be over a million years old.

This will tell us who is arguing from evidence current as of 1850...

You can apply basic physical principles anywhere, and if done
correctly, you can integrate them over lines, surfaces and volumes.
Top, bottom, middle. Doesn't matter.

Or you can advocate that...

Pooh-poohing global warming off base

A global increase in water temperature will cause a rise in sea level.
Unlike many things in geophysics, this is instantaneous.

A local increase will be smeared out.

An increase in the top km may...

Pooh-poohing global warming off base

Remarkably, a4b is exactly right here.

The precipitable water will go up a bit, but that is pretty trivial
compared to melting land ice and thermal expansion. Sea level will go
up as the ocean warms...

Atheist, albedo is not a forcing.

"Land use" is in fact land surface albedo forcing so it's already
accounted for.

Cloud and ice...

REALITIES OF GLOBAL WARMING

right .. so why are we soooo concerned about CO2-levels? Apparently
there isn't a direct correlation between CO2-levels and rising-temperatures.

introduction to NetCDF

Any NetCDF documentation I could find were relatively opaque for a
novice.

It seems to me that writing and using simple NetCDF is a common enough
task that there should be an accessible tutorial. So...
