Fall Crops Fail to Emerge Across UK

In my job as Countryside Access Officer I meet a lot of farmers. They tell
me that grain crops have never been so slow to emerge.

On the other hand I have never seen Oil Seed Rape so tall at this...

I saw them half a dozen times during my 10 years in Scotland,(many nights
spent at bothies in the Cairngorms at least 60 moles from the nearest city)
but have never seen them in England. I even saw...

Bracknell was always Harry Brackers when I was at Oceanroutes.

In MO Shoeburyness was always (affectionately) called Shoebury doobury!!
