I forgot that the hydrogen on Jupiter and Saturn is diatomic. Being diatomic also means they can rotate. The rotational speed vr of the atoms in a molecule should be considered as well. I...

OK, the effect is low on Earth but what about Venus with 93 times more gas?
gamma = g/cp = g/839
since cp = 839 J/kg/K for CO2.
g on Venus, without correction for molecular motion is 8.87 m/s^2....

Other factors in meteorology are much less precise than 0.2% so this will not improve much of prognosis making.
