So we seem set on 'the throw to the odd' for sorting a MONTHLY mean - but what about seasonal and YEARLY means?

For a Yearly mean would you use
A - the mean min + mean max divide by 2 and apply the...

Also just think, under clear skies and it gets dark at 1545hrs and
sunrises 0820hrs that is a long time in which there is no source (sun)
to heat the ground and there is a lag affect of the earth...

I like the 'Spray on' tip for the WB - might give that a go

Re the DB and Max' readings - going with the Max' reading seems to be

You can always guarantee that the subject of the Met'O tends to
polarise opinions.
yes, to some degree they are in a no win situation and public and
media both tend to like to have a go, but surely...
