It's not so much the temperature as the amount of 'warm' rain that you get. My time as a "Munro Bagger" brought home to me just how much snow can disappear from a mountain side by a lot of rain...

I cannot see that it can do anything other than rain in my part of mid Devon overnight and tomorrow. Even if the rain was moderate or heavy for a time I can't see it dragging the temperature down...

The Met office have just (1230 on Thursday) upped their amber alert to red for just South Wales which strikes me as a bit bizarre and a bit overly precise but there you go.

Very surprisingly there is very light snow in Bradninch with a temperature of +4.1°!
Admittedly the dewpoint has recently dropped to -1.7° so its quite dry air for Devon! Checking on Exeter...
