Resetting my wood-mounted Casella mercury max thermometer yesterday (used since 1993) it caught the edge of the open screen door fell out of my hand and broke. Numbing shock.

Dust fall?

I've noticed definite traces of powdery mid-grey/orange dust residue on my Stevenson screen and in the raingauge funnel since yesterday. Have there been any other dustfall reports this week?

Does anybody know where measuring cylinders can be bought for the standard 5" raingauge? Mine has broken on the end and I can't find any sellers. Do they still make these or does everybody use...
