The low that has been slow-moving to the NW of the Canary Islands for
the past couple of days has something of a tropical cyclone look to it on satellite imagery this morning. See http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/pdus/AI/200510080600AI1_g. jpg It may be nothing more than a misleading arrangement of the cloud formations but it would be easy to argue that it has a discernible 'eye' feature at the centre.
