Was it a FC or did I have imaginings?
 

Not sure if I saw a FC at 4pm in Fleet, Hants. Could have been a rain
shaft I expect. It was a dark shaft within an area of heavy
precipitation very close to mammatus. Couldnt see the lower part of the
shaft as it was behind trees/buildings. Ran back to my house as fast as
I could to get my camera but I wasnt quick enough and whatever it was
had dissipated.

The BBC forecast this evening mentioned the possibility of
tornadoes along the South Coast this evening!
