Okay I'll sell you some!

Even if it was the worse in a decade-so what. I can't recall anything severe
in London since 1995, bar the congestion charge and the extortionate taxes.

Don't worry. It'll end up grey and mild probably, with a persistent HIGH
over France.

One of the coldest winters in a decade? Sounds as exciting as the
outlook for the next 7 days.... No winter has been particularly
anything to write home about since 1987.

1995/96?

And from Northern England northwards the late Dec '95 cold
spell was as sensational as anything 1963 or indeed any
other winter of the past few hundred years has ever thrown
at us.
Or perhaps that doesn't really count as it wasn't anything
like as severe in the south

Now don't start Col. You do have a point though.

1995/96?

Nothing special in the south. Three days of good snow in early
February, and some cold snowless weather at times during December and
January, but not that special. The last snow which persisted for a week
was 1991, and the last spell of persistent deep snow was January 1987.

Think about what this means. There are people who are 18 years old who
have never experienced proper snow in their lifetime!
