Blooming lovely place, try the deli for a wonderful bacon, brie and spiced mayo sandwich. I travel through it on the way to Glen Lyon via Killin, it's a much nicer road than going via Callendar. So would it be worth a trip to Pubil (311m, next to Loch Lyon) in order to see sme snow this weekend??? Douglas Richard Webb wrote: Where is Comrie Perthshire. It's been snowing on and off all afternoon so far.
From my study window there is a dusting on the tops and the RAC web site shows some problems on the roads: B974 Both Ways Banchory To Fettercairn The road is closed due to snow. A939 Both Ways Between Cock Bridge And Tomintoul The road is blocked by snow. A93 Both Ways Between Braemar And Spittal Of Glenshee. I just wonder what the difference is between a road 'Closed' and 'Blocked' by snow? Either way, the result is the same. Now have a nice white blanket on the garden Temp 0C. If it keeps up, I would think a trip to Pubil would be just the ticket! John D wrote in message ups.com... Blooming lovely place, try the deli for a wonderful bacon, brie and spiced mayo sandwich. But they closed the gates on the Lecht Road today, and the RAC report it as 'blocked', so I dunno... -- Steve Loft, Glenlivet. 200m ASL http://www.livet.org.uk/weather (being redecorated, watch the wet paint) http://www.livet.org.uk/webcam.php |

Around here "closed" means that the boards are out and proceeding past them may invalidate your insurance. The term blocked means that nothing can get through, not even the snowploughs or blowers but the road would also be closed... -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |
