snowfall statistics
Interesting to read Peter Clarks note on snowfall figures over recent
years, whilst I do not wish to be drawn into the dispute as to actual days of snow seen falling,it strikes me the big difference in recent years is to the actual amount,ie depth recorded. Certainly last years total days was impressive, but as to actual millemeters recorded that was altogether a different story. My total days was roughly the same as Peters, but I doubt if we got as much as 50mm forthewhole year ! True East Kent received its usual dumping but most sea level sites outside of the usual snowprone areas probably did as miserably as me (suburban Essex). Yeah I know it was drought year, but even so....... RonB |
