Awesome :-O

Mind you the operational is a very cold outlier in the extended range and the
ensemble goes for much milder conditions after T+168.
But the operational model is run at much higher resolution, so, as always take
the extended range with a huge pinch of salt re detail.
(Yes I know most know that already!).

The good folks on TWO are going ballistic with excitement ATM, almost a party
atmosphere now on there.

Pity ManU lost, spoilt my day :-(((

Didn't do a lot for Alan Smith either. He broke his leg before the snow
even got there. Poor sod.

I don't know, but I just can't get into this coming cold spell, maybe
the Wolf has cried to many times, so anything as far as I'm conerned
will be a bonus.

At least Southend United won :-)

A long way to go yet, but I would love to see both Southend & Colchester
go up.

Just looking at the sorter range of the GFS (as I'm sure the 510 dam stuff
will be gone on the next run)....

Is this a polar low, forecast for Thursday?

Doesn't look like a polar low but interesting to note that the last 3 runs
of the GFS have all signalled a similar feature which would give more
general significant snow. The development not evident on the 12Z EC
operational output and only weakly represented in the ensembles.

Yet my beloved Lincoln got another result, with none of the little dears
getting sent off - the manager was banished as usual though.
£50 on the moggy at the vets, my only companion ( stifled sob) that was
a downer.
The GFS run is moderately consistent with yesterdays - I am still
playing down the snow but have private doubts which I am keeping to
myself by publishing them here.
Cheers

Vince , do you want Paul to lie, just to make you feel better. You have to
realise that forecasters have no influence over the weather , they only
predict using their experience to interpret and then make a forcast on evr
increasing amouts of information.
Now today lets look through the square window.
