The calmest night this year with a light NNEasterly gusting to 12mph.
However, at 05:30 a sharp increase and change in direction gave a max gust of 45mph, NNW, at 07:15. The increase coincided with a sharp pressure rise from 970.3mb. The temperature continued to fall to 2.1°C at 06:30 and then a rise. Currently, temperature 3.5°C, pressure 987.5mb, wind gusting to 35mph, NW, total rain since midnight 12.0mm, blustery, sleety showers.
