Wind really picking up in driving rain at 1300. Whistling around my office
and rattling the window. 989 mb and 8 C. Meanwhile the road into Aberfeldy from the North has cleared leaving behind piles of hay and scoured footpaths. The snowdrops have come out and I bet they wish they hadn't. Earlier I saw a 1.5 foot salmon scoot up my wee burn after leaping out the water, first one I have ever seen there. brian battening down what hatches he can find aberfeldy |

Glad to hear the flooding had subsided. I had an email yesterday from
Pubil saying that the sluice gates at Lubreoch dam were open, as well as it overtopping. A nice sight to see, but not if you are further downstream. The wind is picking up here in Glasgow. It's starting to rattle the office windows. I imagine we'll be in for an interesting night in Prestwick tonight. Douglas |

Maybe too interesting Douglas.
I'm glad I don't stay near the shore in Largs! Or anywhere too close to the waves on the west coast for that matter! From my OS map I worked out we are about 1/4 mile from the sea in a
straight line. Maybe too interesting indeed. The Arran ferry is already cancelled, and the last one from Arran had to dock at Gourock. Douglas |
