I wouldn't call anyone a liar, but if you were to look out of the windows
here in Cumbria, even the concept of dust is difficult to grasp ;-((

Yes - different world, just a couple of hundred miles apart. It's
strange - the forecasts and reports have been full of words like
"prolonged ,heavy rain, local flooding" and all we've had here since the
break in the cold weather last friday is a couple of spells of drizzle.
The sequence of occulsions that went through over last weekend all
fragmented and weakened as they passed over here.

Today, the combination of low humidity and high winds is moving the
earth around!

There's scouring taking place on a field over the back of our house now;
whilst the farmer is tilling it - hardly seems worth it as his field is
ending up "somewhere else".

Quite, just noticed quite a bit of standing water on a grassy area nearby.
