Since around 16.30 hrs and still continuing- continuous and heavy - starting
as soft hail. Has anyone got any totals?

One crack of thunder around 17.30 hrs

Still raining as I type but 11.6mm since 5:50pm here at Southend-on-Sea,
Essex. Wonderfull, I'll have to go to church more often grin

30.0mm total so far this month 75% of average.

Still nothing here in Kent (at least this part!). The radar shows the
precipitation very close, but it is barely moving now - wonder if we'll
get anything here before it fizzles away!

I have my window open so as not to miss the time when it starts (and any
thunder, etc.)

Heard about an inch of hail in Molash, between Ashford and Canterbury
about half an hour ago (9:20pm). Still nothing here!

and everything is on the dry side. Nothing more than the merest of
traces today.

15.6mm now since 17:50 and still raining.

34.0mm 85% average, and it's only the 9th !
