30.0mm total so far this month 75% of average.

Can we have some of it in Devon please ? Only 9.2mm so far this month,
and everything is on the dry side. Nothing more than the merest of
traces today.

You are joking aren't you?

The last thing we need is more rain, the reservoirs are full (I saw Fernworthy
yesterday), the soil is very moist, let's have some sun to warm up that soil and
get things growing!

Dartford Kent, been raining since 19:00, and now sleeting 00:24......

Be interested to know why this is so localised

I don't think it's localised - it's just that the precipitation didn't
quite make it this far east. I'm sure that I would have recorded 4 or
5 times as much precipitation if I lived on the west side of
Canterbury!

There was more rain in Essex than I had here in St Albans Hertfordshire as I
recorded 11.2mm yesterday which is a lot lower than the 20mm+ in Epping
which is not far to the east.

Ended with 18.0mm (17:50 to now) now the total stands at 36.4mm 91%
average.

Also rained a lot yesterday in Rayleigh.

Have we reached 100% of the average rainfall for the whole of April?

Keith, Southchurch Park ended with 22.8mm from the event, and Shoeburyness
12.2mm.

Thanks for that snippit Philip. What time span is that for at
Southchurch Park? 18:00 to 18:00 gmt ? Because my reading for that
timespan was 17.2mm, yet if I add the 3.2mm from before 18:00 and
earlier still I get a total of 20.4mm
I'm suspicious as to whether Shoeburyness records on the low side ;-)
