Default Thunder

Hi everyone, I normally lurk on this newsgroup but i thought i might ask a
question of the lightning detection system.I have just come in from a walk
around the mansfield area notts/derby's, heavens opened and several cracks
of thunder occured. I checked on several lightning detection sights ,
nothing . I have noticed this on a number of occasions so was wondering if
the detection system is flawed or has areas where detection is hit and miss.

regards steve
