"Col":
What does that - "Col" - stand for, by the way? "Colonel"? LOL. Now forgive me, I wrote this reply YESTERDAY, but computer DELETED IT by MISTAKE, so I was too ****ed off to rewrite it again. But I think that I'll give it another shot.:-) Apart from over the Scottish Highlands that is simply not true in this country, and never has been. True, but 1998 and 1999 winters are NORMAL?!!! Nope, but there were very mild winters in the early 70's as well. That was not 'normal' either. Indeed. Good point. I was just thinking about this on my way home earlier that day. Then 1979 just came "out of the blue", preceded the following series of *almost* eight CONSECUTIVE cold winters, until about January 1987 time.:-) I'm not trying to argue that winters are getting less snowy, my point is that they were never really *that* snowy in the first place. Valid argument. Relevant point.:-) Why do folk talk about "them winters of old" and such then? Huh?:-~ Selective memories. We all do it. People remember 1947/63/79 and Dec '81 .. and forget the intervening relitively snowless years. Yes. I am kind of like this with December 1995, February 1994, January 1987 to some degree, etc., etc..:-) You were duped into believing something that common sense should have told you to treat with extreme caution. Look, how many times do I have to say it: HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT TOM PRESUTTI HAD JUST FINISHED UNIVERSITY, GARRY SARRE WAS JUST "HAVING A LAUGH", AND THAT BRIAN GAZE HAD ONLY JUST started THE VERY WEBSITE ITSELF?!!! Please use the caps more SPARINGLY. It's rather difficult to read. True... but PLEASE don't avoid the question.:-( :-( By the way, I do it to HIGHLIGHT things, not to SHOUT okay?:-) I SHOUT when I'm angry, as I get very OCCASIONALLY, but NOT regularly, even though I have to of course admit to being admittedly always being very angry on this particular forum.:-( :-) I got it from interrupt_00h. You seem to be getting rather obsessive about this. You don't want to turn out bitter about this, do you? Just let it go, man ![]() These are/were my dreams. HOW THE HELL CAN I JUST "LET" THEM "GO", "MAN"?! :-( I mean the general public who are not going to remember someone in March who predicted a cold winter back in November. True. But I am NOT the "general public"!:-( Yeah, sure, I am LIVING PROOF of that, am I not, guys?:-D True ![]() :-) Anrew Bond is always popping up though Indeed he is. When "Anrew Bond" made his call for the summer of 2004 as "wet", it turned out, of course, most certainly correct. However, he got the temperature range WAY OFF, as it was, in actual fact, bar July, still well ABOVE normal! By contrast, the Met Office successfully called it hot, but also DRY. People judge things by they SEE, NOT feel. The rain was indeed the truly "decisive factor", in this particular case, that threw it in Metcheck's way, in time of the cold winter forecast in early October.:-) And, just as nearly always now, ONCE AGAIN, my dreams have NOT come TRUE!!!:-( and I'm sure I've seen Mr Gaze's mane mentioned in tabloid reports. Which ones?:-( I know that he was on some small radio station somewhere in his local area down south hyping up his and Metcheck's joint Christmas "blizzards", and that he does *some* forecasts for Danish television, but that's about it, *as far as I know*.:-) You would forgive them of course so you wouldn't even be consistent in your condemnations. NO. I would forgive them IF - and I HAVE been through this ALREADY, and not just ONCE, but MANY TIMES, BOY - the following: BOY?? I'm 37!! Good for you.:-) Vince this guy need psychiatric help, fast n.b. my lawyers are watching this for slanderous comments aswell so be warned And your first statement is NOT a "slanderous comment", if, this time, to me? DON'T threaten me, boy! I take threats VERY SERIOUSLY. Believe me, this is quite common.:-( your either Mr Brown or Mr Codge , so its 50/50 , maybe i'll phone a friend ;-) my guess to the former Who's "Mr Brown"? In any case, I am neither. I cannot be "Codge" for one thing. He loved mild weather, I hate it. D. |
