Default WR Continuous heavy snow Dover, not settling

NE wind - therefore snow in SE Kent. But the temp in the town is 1.9
degrees - no doubt a degree or two colder on the Downs but apparently not
sticking there either.

Came back from Canterbury through Thorndon wood at 12:30 and all
surfaces were covered at Tyler Hill including the roads. Two cars had
gone straight off the road and into trees on the same bend. No snow
settling at Herne Bay or in Canterbury but about 50M higher and
drivers were caught out! A few metres make all the difference.

Cheers

Mr. Marx has powers... and he is using them to stop the snow settling,
methinks.:-)

Yes. This was very obvious from the sky as I was in final approach for
Manston today. Tyler Hill was white (or, rather, grey as there wasn't
that much snow), as were other hills, but none in the Stour Valley. I
only had a view of Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, etc. from my side
of the plane. When we landed (1700Z) at Manston, there was a fair bit of
slush on the runway and taxiways and I nearly came a cropper walking
from the plane to the terminal! Some cars in the car park had quite a
lot of snow on them.
