This thunder woke me up soon after I had nodded off to sleep. heavy rain
too, but not for long. 3mm in the gauge.

This is interesting as storms were forecast but the TS activity appeared
quite limited in the event. There were some heavy radar returns but I don't
recall the system picking up any sferics overland (there was a few east of
the Isle of Wight).
