Hi Brian
28.9ºC in Wishaw, The hottest day of the year thus far here. Equals last year's maximum, set on July 11th - and remarkably the wamest July day in 2003 was also +28.9ºC. I'm begining to wonder if there's a ceiling on these things in July here! If it weren't for a bit of cloud cover in the afternoon I'm sure we'd have gone above 30ºC today. Alex Wishaw. 25C here in Prestwick. That's pinched from PIK's airport site.
I was up at Pubil from Saturday to Monday. Sunny spells and around 20C, just perfect for me. If you had 28C in Camserney yesterday, I'd say I left at just the right time. I know it's too hot when I cheerfully stay late in the office simply because it has A/C..... Douglas |

Actually that should have been 30.6C, recorded at 1513 BST. I don't know what the max recorded at the official station was, but according to Weatheronline they recorded 27C at 1600 (which I suspect is rounded down). My figure from 1600 is 29.3C, so on that basis my real max would probably have been around 28C. So about as hot as Copley, I think! -- Steve Loft, Glenlivet. 200m ASL Weather and webcam: http://www.livet.org.uk/weather |
