Still no storms, had one pass to our west travelling north during mid
afternoon with some fairly lively thunder, but not a drop of rain from that one. A twenty minute shower this morning around 7am. I am beginning to think the storms have a policy of avoidence when it comes to this part of Essex. One look at the radar and we are surrounded by them but they don't come here. Well not yet anyways!! That storm seemed to be centred over West Horndon which is just a few miles from Langdon Hills where I was yesterday. I heard that the rainfall and heavy hail was very intense at one point - with the ground and garden furniture still wet at 6pm - three hours afterwards. But not a drop just to the east! Amazing isn't it! |
