In this case a Low is as good as an High for the fine weather, as it stays around 30 degrees and more from most of us. At the moment it is 30 degrees west of Ireland. Tomorrow it's SW of Iceland. In 48 hours time it will be stretching from Iceland to 70 degrees north and be replaced over Iceland by a set of three Canadians. All in all (without the accompanying High) that is usually a sign of good weather. Bear in mind where it is going to go ashore though. And what I have been saying about that. |

Don't you remember the days when we had real weather? http://groups.google.com/group/uk.sc...12?start=1000& and how about this one: Joe Egginton wrote: Hello All, I was amazed to see a pressure predicted of 934mb for a depression near norway midnight tomorrow: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsfaxsem.html http://groups.google.com/group/uk.sc...-12?start=2750 Ain't you glad he wasn't an "X" poster? Take a look at the Google archive for the weather and other events around then: http://groups.google.com/group/uk.sci.weather/about Tornadic activity and even a local earthquake. (I'm sorry, I just couldn't help banging that drum.) Whilst Darren Prescott's analysisesisiesii don't mention any specifics you can still pick out general trends for the dates. |
