There's this belief that August's full moon is the best in the year. I'm not
sure if it has to do with the fact that most Greeks take their holiday in August and they're more likely to combine it with romantic and carefree nights on the beach; however, it has been the case during the last years that the major archeological sites are open for those who'd like to spend the night or, simply, have an airy walk there. Well, yesterday was *the* night. All of us who have remained in Athens grabbed some beers and joined the tourists for a magnificent night in the Acropolis: http://www.e-kairos.com/img/moon_acropolis.jpg. It is so rare to see the central promenades of the old town so remarkably full of people at this time of the year, when Athens is virtually empty -and so great to live in.
