Is there no way that the current rash of lunatic, racialist, misogynistic, and
plain evil posts be diverted or quarantined from this group ?.
I suspect that Damien is possibly deranged, and probably needs help, but in
the meantime every twisted troll that haunt these NGs gather around his
posts like bees around a honeypot, and most of their stuff is either
obscene,vitriolic,or just plain barmy.
So,please, can anything be done to protect us from this very unpleasant
malaise ?

Unlike forums, absolutely anyone may post to Usenet, so the answer is a
"no".

The only way forward is to totally ignore such posts. Most news readers
give you the ability to both "kill file" particular posters and threads.
With my reader I have just done that, so further posts on a particular
topic and by certain posters, in any thread, just won't show in my list of
new posts.

I see you are using OE - you highlight a particular message, then go up to
"Message" on the top bar and go down to "Create rule from message"

You could do it that way, or you could select the next option on that menu,
"Block Sender".

Unfortunately I think not Ron. I suspect that all the trolls are one
person. Maybe two or three at the most. Probably a gang of schoolboys
pratting about.

Best thing is to ignore, and they'll go and take the pee out of somebody
else.

NO THEY'RE NOT!!!:-( :-( :-(

I DON'T know who all these bizarre, other people are. It's most
probably Neil King once again trying to defame and sabotage my HONEST
cause since he has lost his original "overlord".:-( :-(

That thread is NOTHING to do with ME, as your bringing it up just after
my above post in THIS particular thread may in fact imply!

True that I have posted on it, but only SIX times, at least THUS far,
firstly because I thought that it was going to actually be LEGITIMATE
thread, in spite of the first post by "Wobblemetits".

:-(
