Something which everyone on this planet should be able to do. ================================================== ================== The chain saws are going in Haytor. People are sawing up logs for the winter in earnest now. Will Hand at Haytor meteorological office said " It is too early to be certain about the prospects for this winter but the lowering SSTs in the Iceland area could mean that any NW winds may be colder than normal. In any case we will get snow up here at some stage and people ought to be prepared " Will. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A COL BH site in East Dartmoor at Haytor, Devon 310m asl (1017 feet). mailto: www: http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm DISCLAIMER - All views and opinions expressed by myself are personal and do not necessarily represent those of my employer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Will, how about a new meteorological statisitic field - The log index - the
higher Will's log pile, the more severe the impending winter. I'm sure the MetO would appreciate it. Mike www.dudleyweather.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk |
