Default Thunder in mid-Cheshire [10:27 BST]

Several flashes per minute at the moment (10:27 BST) and rain gaining
intensity. Was just drafting this when the power went off for the second
time ;-(

It's the same stuff that came through Birmingham between 8am and 9am, pretty
torrential rain, and towards the end of it thunder. Now bright and sunny,
quite a contrast!

Thunder now heard in Bolton. Mod/heavy rain.
From the forecast this morning these showers were supposed to
dissapate well before they got anywhere near here.
However given their potency/proximity and the fact they were
clearly heading in this direction I was a little surprised by that forecast.

Now lightning.....

Very heavy rain with thunder here Col around mid morning and got rather wet
on the bike on the way home.
A lovely warm and sunny afternoon followed though :-)
best regards,
Alan
