Funnel cloud & sequence of images
Yesterday in Wishaw we had a torrential rainstorm just after 6pm, with a
peak rate in excess of 32mm/hour. I had noticed quite a lot of rotation in the clouds at the time and my timelapse footage from yesterday showed it up very well. Had I been looking in another direction I would have spotted a funnel cloud! Fortunetly a colleague of mine was looking where I should have been and couldn't wait to share the images she took yesterday when I met her today. She has kindly let me put them on my website to share. And they are certainly worth a look. They can be found on the lower half of the page after clicking on the "Tornado (almost)" link at the following url. http://www.alex114.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/severe.html If Stuart Brooks is around?
