Snow at lower levels in northern Greece today
Good evening, everyone.
The expected cold wave crossed the northern border of Greece earlier today and rain gave its way to snow for the first time this winter in low lying areas of western Macedonia. Florina and Ptolemaida are already reporting snowfalls. Snow has started to settle on the "easiest" surfaces like cars: http://users.otenet.gr/~alsiam/foto/021106a.jpg (Florina, roughly 8pm).
