I don't know about ECMWF, the Met-Office have made a right pigs-ear of
theirs. Not to mention the fact that they couldn't forecast the 'Potential for Tornadic' activity last Wednesday over Southern Counties, when a certain armature forecaster by the name of Bono's Ego ©, was able to forecast the potential at 19:00hrs the night before from looking at the charts. http://www.met-monkey.co.uk/weather....pic.php?t=3059 |

But can you image the media hype if the Met Office actually issued a
tornado warning. The country would come to a standstill, supermarkets selves would be emptied. My guess is they'd internally predicted the likelihood of tornadoes and hope if tornadoes do form they won't hit a populated area. Image the Daily Express headline, I'd bet it would include the phrase 'Death Storms' Bonos Ego wrote: I don't know about ECMWF, the Met-Office have made a right pigs-ear of theirs. Hmmm, shouldn't 'god' be with a capital 'G'? Only if it's Yahweh/Jehovah/Elohim/YHWH/Allah, the Abrahamic god of Judaeo-Christian-Islamic religions. God with a small 'g' refers to all the other thousands of gods that humans have worshipped over the years. Martin |

Hmmm, shouldn't 'god' be with a capital 'G'?# Not necessarily. He knows who he is. And false reverence started as a means for the false and the foolish to avoid using god's name. He does actually have a name, that is given with a capital letter as per proper nouns. Having issued us with a programme manual on how to use him to our best advantage, he would have enter such clauses specifically would he not, if that was a requirement? But as for the OP. It is a useful site if I can find out how to open a grib file: http://data.ecmwf.int/data/d/era15/ Pity it doesn't have sea level pressures as they are the only things I can understand. |
