Default Davis Vantage Pro 2 - change over time ?

I treated myself just before Christmas to a new weather station. the
VP2, it arrived just after Boxing Day and is now installed adjacent to
Met Screen, early indications are good and temperature and rainfall are
very similar to the met gauges. Already had a gust to 65mph on New
Years Eve !

Problem is though is the change over time or Midnight. My Climat
Station runs from 0900-0900hrs and is the standard Met time, but I cant
find anywhere with the console or the software to change this and I am
stuck at midnight, making it difficult to properly compare future data

Does anyone has any solutions for this problem ?

Also does anyone else use any other software with the VP2 apart from
weatherlink, recommendations greatfully received.

Sample Page for now at

thanks

As far as I know, the only solution to this is to set the clock on the
console 9 hours slow. If you do that, when the VP2 thinks it is midnight
it is actually 0900.

I have a piece of software that can generate monthly summary data from
WL archive files. This includes a feature to set the station day to
start from whichever hour you choose.

This software is unfortunately in permanent beta at present, while I
try to make time to properly complete a first full release (while at
the same time keep adding features). As a result, it's currently still
a work in progress, with potential bugs and lack of polish. But
contact me if this is of any interest.

Norman - I had thought of that, but woulndt that just show up in any
reports , then end up having to take 9hrs off everything . All the data
would be wrong ? - its a possible solution, but you would think that
Davis would have thought about this

many thanks Paul

Perhaps they measure midnight to midnight in America?

It is possible to export the data from weatherlink into an application such
as Excel. The summary can then be generated from there and it should be
possible to make a direct comparison with your old data.

However if you don't already have a suitable application it may be necessary
to investigate Google spreadsheets to see if that meets your needs. It is
free but I have no idea about is capabilities.

Paul, I export all of my 10 minute data to a web site.
When you do browse - export records - select day month the data in Weatherlink
is exported as a text (.txt) file. That can then be imported into Excel and
edited.
See http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...WS_feb2006.txt for an
example of my final product.

Thanks for that Will and everyone else - now created a txt file - I
currently have it set to saving every minute, perhaps a change to 10m
maybe more appropriate ?

cheers
