Default Winds... what winds?

Been listening to the weather reports all day on the radio and feeling an
impending sense of doom knowing what was heading our way... but here I am at
20.00 and there is nothing more than a bit of a breeze outside. It got a bit
more breezy during this afternoon, but nothing that you could call a gale or
even a strong wind.

Is this the only bit of the UK that seems to have missed the maelstrom?

Regards... DAVID.
