It brought a smile to my face when I looked at the world map "Seasonal
forecasts - indications for the next three months " on the UKMO web site. The map is colour coded, orange - warm more likely, yellow - warm or average more likely, green -average, light blue - average or cold more likely, dark blue - cold more likely The UK appeared to be predominantly in a white area which on reading the text further stands for "White: no favoured category." !!! So the UK is a bit trickier than the rest of the world. At least there is the proviso in bold:- "The Met Office advises against use of these maps alone for decision making." Dave |
