[WR] Fareham - moderate wet snow
The moderate rain/sleet we've had for the last couple of hours has now
become wet snow and is starting to stick on cars and grass. I am 3 miles inland from the mouth of Southampton Water; 5 miles NW of Lee-on-the Solent. Places inland, especially North of the Downs must be getting a pasting by now. Temperature +1.8 C and falling. Interesting. -- Dave Fareham (West) |

Temperature +1.8 C and falling. Interesting. Dropped to +1.4 deg for a time but is now back up to +1.9 and rising... the snow is lighter and wet again - and is clearing what little snow residue is left on the grass. Cars are still covered in slushy snow but it'll be gone before dawn. I think that's it for us. Pretty much what the regional forecast said it would be for coastal areas around here... not much of an event. Good forecast. -- Dave Fareham |

Good forecast. -- Dave Fareham It was snowing heavily here at 4am with about an inch on the ground. By 5:30 most of it had been washed away, although roofs, grass and pavements are still white now (7:45). Bob Martin Waterlooville, N of Portsmouth |
