Ah, OK ... and could it be the Everton tried to add some factual
information to a vague traffic report by deducing from the radar
output that rain was falling at 10mm **per hour** in the area?

I'll not find out my own Luton figure until this evening, unfortunately.

Total rainfall 09-09 at Luton was 3.2mm ... I estimate that no more
than 2mm fell during the thunderstorm.
