mmm well I hope they will come home soon ... I have several kilos of
food waiting ... and there is a limit on how much I can stuff into 3
great tits, two blue tits, and one robin.

The trick is to use a funnel.

Well our garden gathering of between 50 & 70 Spugs & Spugettes have been
sheltering in the bushes this afternoon only daring to pop out to the
feeders between the hail showers!
Very gusty here at present 20.40 with light showers.

My sparrows vanished for the winter ... are they with you ?
Other resident species still here.

I've had a few here in Stafford. *Lots* of finches as well.

I've also seen a pair of long-tailed tits (new to me) and a grey bird
with a black head, about the size of a blue-tit. I think it's called a
Black Cap, also new to me.

Weather-wise (just to keep this vaguely on-topic) it's clearing now, and
calming down a bit. Sky is 70% clear, wind from the WNW.
