Hi, All,
It's good to know in these changing times that the good old spring easterly can still make an appearance in NE England and also that the North Sea is still relatively cool enough to make the next week's daily forecasts the traditional challenge in our area. Will the North Sea haar / fret / rope clear or will it not? Will it cool enough for fog and drizzle or will it burn off enough for wall to wall sunshine? Will it stay clear long enough overnight for frost? Will NE folk ignore the difficulties and just complain about the forecast? 09Z-09Z Copley Met O max13.9C min 5.0C grass 1.9C rain nil, month total 13mm(av 58mm) sun 00Z-00Z 9.8hr, month total 177hr(av 152hr) Mean max so far 14.5C (+4.7) Mean min 5.0C (+2.9) Mean 9.7C(+3.7) air frost 1 ground frost 14 Copley Lead Mill 09Z-09Z max 14.1C min 3.5C Mean max so far 15.0C mean min 4.2C mean 9.6C air frost 3 Ken Copley, 253metres asl, nr Barnard Castle, Teesdale, County Durham http://copley.mysite.orange.co.uk |
