And if so, how rare is that in Britain?

Paul, no rain fell in parts of southern England during April 1912, 1893 and
1957. I think that one or two places in Cornwall had no rain during April 1976. There was very little rain in 1938 and 1980 was almost dry in north west England. This year April was my second driest month of any back to 1979 with only 2.8mm of rain -May 1989 had 2.1mm Ian Currie-Coulsdon and Chipstad Valley www.frostedearth.com "Paul Hyett" wrote in message news ![]() And if so, how rare is that in Britain? -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) |

Not on the pressure charts *I* saw. I saw some at the T+120/144 stage that looked wet for the beginning of this week but they only lasted a couple of days. Latest runs also seem to be beginning to "dry out" for next. -- Graham P Davis Bracknell, Berks., UK Send e-mails to "newsman" as mails to "newsboy" are ignored. |
