0850z Calm 3200 -DZ 7St004 8Sc020 10.4/09.8 1009.3
RMK: Few spots yesterday before 22z, then mod rain 22-23,
intmt sl to mod rain 23-04, cont mod rain 0400-0830 (hvy
betw 0415 and 0500).

09-09: Tx 14.3 Tn 9.0 Tg 8.8 RR 12.0 sss 3.7

Long dry spell emphatically broken
with largest 24hr total since 4th March: 0.7mm in 37 days
ending yesterday, and 15.2mm in 60 days ending yesterday.
(Would just have qualified for an old "Partial Drought"!)

Nothing like that here, Philip. Only 0.2 mm by 09z this AM. Even that little
was enough to perk up the plants. Lets hope we get some proper rain before
long.

RMK: Also 4Ac100. Vis 60km to the WSW where no ppn
falling. We appear to have just caught the tail of the prominent
line of shwrs crossing Beds and Bucks on the radar.
