Saw 3 in 2 hours. My vision might have been clouded a lttle by that second bottle of Bulgarian Red! Ian. Stayed up 23.00 - 00.30. Perfectly clear sky here in Essex, lots of stars visible and Milky Way could be made out. Perseids seen: zero. Presumably it all happened later in the night? Tom Blackmore, SW Essex. |

I sat in my garden (Fleet, Hampshire) from 23:00-23:30 and saw about 12-15 in total, including 3 in 10 seconds. I was amazed at how fast they move across the sky. -- Brian Wakem |

I went out for about 20 minutes just after midnight, with fairly clear skies, and saw about half a dozen. Most were very short lived. Would have looked for longer, but suffering from a bad neck at the moment, which isn't too conducive. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |

My vision might have been clouded a lttle by that second
bottle of Bulgarian Red! I have not seen this for years-is it still around? Unlikely to be better than the £5 for 2L of Chilean Merlot fairly widely available... R |
