Davis Vantage Pro weather Station Rain Gauge problems

Hi, I get a reading when I tip the bucket manually, its set for mm.
However the readings are either non existant or very low when water is
poured in at a very slow rate or when it raining. On the old Monitor you
had to calibrate but there is no mention of this in the Vantage manual. Any
ideas anyone?

Clocked 59mph on a Maximum wind sensor and 64mph on an Instromet system here
at Pitsford at around 06:21. Anemometers are approx 10m above ground level.
