Bear in mind that those figures are probably for Donna Nook, not Leconfield,
as they confusingly usually are.
Have been falling here since noon, now -0.3C.
Gor my tickets for the Owls at Hull today Rob!

Other than advection of cold low level air at the bottom of the boundary
layer I'm not really sure, Rob. It was certainly was a cold day across
central and northern England with many places barely getting above freezing.
Notably Leeds and Gatwick remained sub-zero on the METARs all day.

Jon.

Hi, Will,

Like you, I like to be a bit mischievous at times but it really was
bitter.
I am banished to the outside "netty" in our establishment for reasons
I'll not go in to on this family ng. In there I have wind speed
recorder (obviously!), thermometers, hygrometer, barometer, weather
books (the latest being The wrong kind of snow), air band radio etc.
It is one of my control centres - the others being my two sheds. On
one visit I definitely thought it was bitter and the cat agreed.
Btw, Ian, I have not switched the heating on out there yet (;0)
