Can't see it climbing above freezing now. Min of -6.0C last night. All of this will be gone by the weekend. Couldn't be doing will all this nice crsp and frosty weather at Christmas now could we? Saying that Col, it beginning to look like a average December, cold and frosty until the last week, when its always gales and rain. -- Joe Egginton Wolverhampton ~175m ASL |

It was certainly was a cold day across central and northern England with many places barely getting above freezing. Notably Leeds and Gatwick remained sub-zero on the METARs all day. Jon. |

I am banished to the outside "netty" in our establishment for reasons I'll not go in to on this family ng. In there I have wind speed recorder (obviously!), thermometers, hygrometer, barometer, weather books (the latest being The wrong kind of snow), air band radio etc. It is one of my control centres - the others being my two sheds. On one visit I definitely thought it was bitter and the cat agreed. Btw, Ian, I have not switched the heating on out there yet (;0) Ken Copley, Teesdale |
