Well well well, started as soft hail at 7 am, then sleet then heavy
snow for less than an hour. Result? 6 cm of fluffy lying snow on cars and 4 sm on the ground including all side roads. This is the first day I can recall snow lying at any time in April, since I moved finally to the South Coast here, 20 years ago. It is the first such day *in any month* since the thundersnow over 4 years ago and it's 100% cover. One for the record books, I think! Current temperature +0.4 deg C and it's just started to snow again... -- Dave Fareham |
