Well, it's not looking good if you're a sun and heat lover for this
summer, now we're into July and high pressure seems to be avoiding us like the plague. Is this goning to be two years in a row, something not unusual, of grim summer weather? Of course, it may pick up for August, one can only hope. -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net |

The models are only hinting at an improvement in mid July. One of the problems, as far as I'm concerned, is that persistence is particularly strong at this time of year. -- Mike Tullett - Coleraine 55.13°N 6.69°W posted 06/07/2008 12:48:34 GMT |

If only we had a little more anomalous coolness like this in winter (assuming we are anomalously cool)! Richard |

Oh I get it, yes, your in the "fan club" are you? or am I just better at it. -- Dave R. [west London] |

I'd settle for those 12z gfs charts for next weekend! It would be at the expense of a forecast, but who cares! I have guests with young children. I really don't want rain! I want nice sunny, calm picnic and boat trip conditions with rain only forecast several days ahead, on washing day, or something! Paul |

Hi Dave, I must have missed you being called that, I tend to have to flick through posts quickly as I just seem to be forever racing against time, but I'm sure my wife would say I can be an old moaner as well so don't take it personnally ;-) August I'll be struggling to keep things upto date as I have a weekes holiday plus working overseas for two weeks, so I'm not sure how I will find time to play catch with my website. Of course this maybe while I have a hunch August may be better as I will miss it! "Fan Club" ? I don't come from the SW grin infact I thought I was in everyones kill file list, now look who's moaning. They're only jealous as we have the best weather in the SE :-) -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net |
