Default Some rainfall totals from last night's 'event' (28/29 July 08)

Cobbling together some rainfall totals from the newsgroup entries at
0900Z illustrates the high degree of variability of rainfall from last
night's system ..

Ordered roughly geographically:-

Guildford (Phil Layton): 5.3 mm
Bracknell (Roy Avis): 12.0 mm
Wokingham (Bernard Burton): 5.2 mm
Reading (Eric Belton): 18.1 mm
Charlbury (Dick Lovett): 38.8 mm
Whipsnade (Philip Eden): 3.9 mm
Chalfont St. Giles (Norman Lynagh): 25.0 mm

and a selection from WeatherOnline (12hr to 06Z this morning)

Heathrow: 26.0 mm
Charlwood: 24.0 mm
Brize Norton: 23.0 mm
Benson: 16.0 mm
Northolt: 15.0 mm
Odiham: 14.0mm
Farnborough: 12.0 mm
High Wycombe: 12.0 mm
Middle Wallop: 7.0 mm
