My VP2 outdoor temperature sensor is apparently not working. At least
nothing is being received at the console. Has anyone any suggestions for a tweak? All the other data are coming through as usual. The unit was new in July 2007 and has behaved up to now. If the sensor has failed, can I fit a new one myself? Hugh -- Hugh Newbury www.evershot-weather.org |

I have a similar problem with humidity on my VP. Once it goes over around 80% it guffs up and constantly reads 100%. I guess I'd need to replace the sensor (probably at cost - hence the reason why I've not worried about it yet!). The unit was new in July 2007 and has behaved up to now. If the sensor has failed, can I fit a new one myself? My VP was new in Sep 2004. Jonathan |

I had a similar thing with my wind speed sensor a while back. Cured it by
pulling the connector out of the main unit and cleaned the connectoins and it worked. Might be as simple as that if you have not already tried it. Good luck! They're easy to fit, if it turns out you need a new one. -- Steve Loft Sanday, Orkney. 5m ASL. http://sanday.org.uk/weather Free weather station softwa http://sandaysoft.com/ uk.sci.weather FAQs/glossary/etc: http://weatherfaqs.org.uk/ |

Amazingly (well, it amazed me) a) it has stopped raining, and b) the temp sensor has started working again! ?Connection? Will check. Hugh -- Hugh Newbury www.evershot-weather.org |
