The area of heavy precipitation over the western English Channel looks to be on
a track rather further to the west than the current forecasts and warnings
suggest. I haven't been looking at the dynamics of the situation so my
impression is based solely on eye-balling the track on the radar imagery. At
the moment Wales and the West Midlands look to be in the firing line rather
than SE England. I acknowledge that the situation may well be much more
complicated than I can deduce from my quick look :-)

The http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ website is now up and running again.

Hopefully we may get some snow in South Devon tonight, as we have
mostly missed out except for about 2 / 3 cm overnight Monday / Tuesday.

Exeter TAF indicating sleet

dew points generally positive down here so a mix of rain, sleet and maybe
some wet snow looks most likely in the first instance.

Could be interesting for Will though up in the mountains..

It's been snowing up here at Princetown for about an hour now (1-2cm).
Temp -0.4. I don't like the look of that stuff heading our way on the
radar either. Could be an interesting night!

Just taken a quick drive up to the Haldon Hiils behind Teignmouth
circa 200m ASL, but was unable to get out of Teignmouth because the
Police have shut Higher Exeter Road (circa 100m) which leads to Haldon
due to an accident as a result of the heavy snow which is settling.

On my way back home, I passed a Fire Engine attending the scence
(without blues & twos), so hopfully no one has been injured.

A reminder to all, whilst it may be fun for some, take care on them
road & drive carefully.
